Why are the Democrats thinking about taking the slowing economy as an Election issue?

The U.S. Economy was enjoying an historical run of good times and high employment under the Republicans. The longest period of high employment and number of jobs in our history. In November of 2006, the Democrats took control of both the House and the Senate. Since the Economy was running at an unusally high rate of job creation, the Democrats just sat around the bath house and blamed Bush and Cheney for the WAR and Katrina. How in the HELL, can Obama stand there and LIE in public saying that the current failing economy is the Republicans fault, when it was the Democrats lousy stinking tax increases, excessive government interference and over regulation along with a continued open border policy with Mexico, that destroyed our Good EconomicTimes. Please tell Obama that his promised change, has already occurred and that we are already suffering the consequences. Any one in foreclosure, in for Obama?

1. Who are we supposed to blame for the war and the slow response to Katrina then? And by the way, didn't Bush stand before Congress and lie about WMDs in Iraq?
2. Earlier in 2007 Obama, Clinton and Edwards, along with many other Democrats said the war in Iraq was lost and we need to come home. Now that the violence is at it's lowest point and Iraq is coming around to be democratic and peaseful the war in no longer on thier lips. They want us to forget what they said before. The Democrats point to hurricane Katrina as proof of global warming yet they ignore the last two hurricane seasons with little to no action. It's all double speak for them. How can we believe they will change things if they are President when they can't get anything done while serving as senators?
3. Why shouldn't they? The "good times" and "high employment" has taken a drastic downturn with the flight of Corporations. It started years ago, but has accelerated as more CEO's realized how much more profit they could make by using the cheap labor in other countries. Check out Detroit...when I lived there, the middle class was highly employed...now...who is making the automobiles...and, where? You ain't seen nuthin' yet! Add: A corporate tax break was supposed to generate more jobs, but for whom?.....Canadians, Mexicans, Chinese, Indians, etc? The tax break plus cheap labor just generated record profits!
4. I kind of shows their intellect.
5. Compare the U.S. economy with the rest of the world, especially with the European Union, then make a conclusion how our economy looks like. Iraq policy made us worst. I'm a republican supporter, but do not support Bush's Iraq policy.
