I seen a house on yahoo real estate foreclosures the amount has $2,515.00 I like to know is that the price?
It was on RealtyTrac Inc on stratford ave elkins park I went by the house and their was a sign on it and call the realtor and he said that 2,515.00 was not the price and that it was not in elkins park but it is .It 4 bedroom

- No, this isn't the price. When I first started looking for houses, I thought about doing the same(buying a foreclosed house). But what happens is--the foreclosed house will go up for auction and fetch fair market value. Remember if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
- That is likely the foreclosure amount on a second, but the first must be satisified first. This would not be the asking price of the property. I have seen a few real estate agents listing like this, which should be illegal, as it is NOT the asking price. But, I am not a real estate broker, I am not sure how legal the listing is. I looked up one here for someone looking in Pittsburg, CA. The listing was 15k but the asking price was actually around 725k
