Do those ads about government foreclosures really work out for anyone?
You know the ones that seem to promise cheap houses? Do people ever really get houses when they respond to those ads, or do they only receive some kind of pay-for-mail book that tells you how to get the house...?

- They work just fine for the people selling "get rich quick in real estate" books. Ask yourself this. If these guys were doing so well in the real estate business why would they be going to the trouble to sell you a book? Can you get rich using the techniques described in those books? Of course! However I think you will find that the market is pretty self regulating. Houses that are selling cheap are usually selling cheap for a reason and if those that really are good deals are generally snatched up pretty quickly by the seasoned professionals.
