Finding info on house from mortgage company...how?
Theres a house for sale, its a foreclosure, FHA Hud. There are signs on the house say contact realtor for more info, realtor says house isnt tech up for sale yet. So I found the person that owned it (he has died), and went to the courthouse and got the mortgage company that now owns the home. How do I contact them and ask for more info, price and everything? Also the courthouse says the mortgage company is CitGroup Consumer Finances. How do I find a # for them? Do I just call Citi bank? Is that the same? Im kinda confused. Need help!!! Anyone that know anything on this??

- The legality of the foreclosure has not been completed yet Call back in about 2 weeks
- Welcome to the club! Like many others before you trying to buy a pre foreclosure property, the challenge is finding the right person to speak to. My guess is that even if you act fast it won't be fast enough before the foreclosure comes through. But if you want to try you need to contact CitiGroup corporate offices and ask for the E & O department of Citgroup consumer finances. Then the real challenge begins to find the right person to speak to who can consider an offer from you. Don't expect to get the deal of the century on an FHA pre foreclosure because the lender is already guaranteed getting 80% of the loan amount from the government. Your better bet is to try to buy it at FHA auction
