How to enforce this Law? S.896 "PROTECTING TENANTS AT FORECLOSURE ACT"?

Say the bank wants to evict the renter right away, wouldn't the renter have 90 days after the judge's order to do so? How does the renter enforce this law into action? What is the procedure?

  1. The tenant should consult a lawyer. The tenant could respond to their landlord (the bank) in writing and cite what the new law says. If an eviction court hearing is scheduled, then the tenant needs to attend the hearing, contest the eviction, and cite the federal law to the judge.
  2. The bank knows the law. They can only evict you if you are not paying rent in full. If you think you have a free housing ticket for 90 days you are incorrect.
