Upcoming Foreclosures

Foreclosures in Los Angeles?

I am looking to buy a property but so far I have only managed to find Realtytrac and the reviews are not good, so I don't want to pay for it. I have searched for some real estate agents and they don't seem to list any foreclosures. Can someone recommend a company? I don't live in LA so cannot go there in person to look. Thanks in advance

  1. call each bank in the city; should only take you 3 mo., or try the county treasurer for RE tax forclosures
  2. Tax Foreclosures are a good idea to look into. Call the county office and ask for a list of properties they own. Also check out the HUD (FHA / VA) site below: http://www.hud.gov/homes/homesforsale.cfm They have all sorts of foreclosed homes that are up for auction. Houses are sold as is and you need to have your financing in place. Good Luck
  3. Realtytrac is getting alot of bad reviews and not the one i would choose by any means. I has a look round and it seems that most people are going with the foreclosure organization's reccomendation. Ive linked their article on buying foreclosed property for you below so hope this helps you.
  4. Spirit- There is no magic list per se... I am a Real Estate Broker in Southern California and I represent quite a few investors buying foreclosures. Any Agent or Broker can set you up on emailed MLS listings with whatever criteria you are looking for. Unfortunately, probably will not set you up on listings without representation agreement." In other words, they won't send you listings unless they ar sure you will be using them to help you purchase the property. My clients and I buy Northern California as well, point being you will always want to view the property and do any inspections you see fit before you close escrow. But to come back full circle, finding someone you would like to work with, agency wise, you will have lists sent daily with any and all criteria you desire
