how do I get deposit back after my landlord filled foreclosure?

my landlord haven't return my deposit after 1 month we move out, then I've sue her for not returning our deposit. However, she went back to Columbia for couple months, just last week, I've receive a letter from law firm said she's filling foreclosure, How do I get my money back?

1. Look in your lease and check to see if it lists where the bank is they were keeping the deposit in. I believe they are required to let you know. I would consult a lawyer to see how this is affected by forclosure.
2. You can sue her in small claims court. Filing for foreclosure does not mean she is not liable to return the deposit...it will just make it harder for you to collect on a judgment.
