Under Florida law, if you go through foreclosure?
Can u get homestead ememption taken away from you on a future home. Can you lose your car, 401k, stocks? Please site your source. thanks

- As long as you declare your future home your domicile then you would qualify for homestead exemption. If your mortgagee (lender) is granted a deficiency judgment that would attach to anything you own. I believe 401K's are exempt. realtor.sailor
- It sounds like you are facing this situation and I hope you can find a solution that doesn't involve foreclosure. I don't think your future homestead exemption is at risk, nor is your car, etc. But realize that if your lender gets a deficiency judgment against you (after the foreclosure auction), it can then enforce the judgment against your various non-exempt assets. Best advice: talk to a lawyer and take advantage of the government resources available to you.
