Has anyone ever heard of John Beck's Free and Clear program? Its buying houses from tax foreclosures.?
I want to know if it is a safe thing to do. I guess you can buy houses from the government for $500. It seems to good to be true but the infommecial showed lots of info to back up its true with success stories. I just want to know if anyone knows anything about this John Beck guy.

- If it is true then why is he selling his "secret"? Why is he announcing this and making you pay for it? I work in real estate and television. From the TV stand point I can tell you that everything you see in television is about 90% fake. I even have friends that have come out on infommercials claiming tons of things. They are there ONLY for the money that they pay to work as an actor/actress. Why do you think in fine print it shows a disclosure that says, "Actual earnings may vary". So that you can not hold anything that they say against them. Now form a real estate point of view, don't you think that all the realtors would have jumped on these deals if they were true? They work in the market, they deal with all these kinds of things on a daily basis with the previous wonderful market and with today's slow economy. So take it form someone who's been around. Save yourself the money and if you really want to get into the market. Study real estate and see how things are from a realistic point of view.
- Hello, I wish I knew also... I want to know what the risks are.
- Hi duluth, I do own the John Beck course. There is a lot about what he is doing that they do not tell you and, if you are inexperienced, can get you into trouble. First the houses that he is buying are tax foreclosures, which means they have a cloud on title - you can not sell these properties to a mortgage buyer until you clear the title - which takes a lawsuit. Can you really buy a house that cheap? - no. most states are moving away from tax foreclosures and tax certificate sales, They are learning that it is far more profitable to sell the house retail after they aquire it. Then they (the beck-eez) will call you and ask if you want to learn from the master for a small fee of...10 to 30 thousand dollars!! wooohooo!! Yeah, there is a sucker born every minute. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this type of investing until you have inhouse legal representation. Regards
- If you are free of debt and have extra money to spend and want to invest it in real estate - try a REIT or go to the town and research foreclosures. All the info is free.
- Here ya go: http://www.infomercialscams.com/scams/john_beck_free_and_clear When tax foreclosure information was elusive, there may have been people able to buy homes for whatever tax debt was owed, but now that the information is readily available, tax foreclosure auctions are well attended and you will be bidding against professional investors.
- People have reported him for ripping them off. He has over 800 complaints against him at infomericalscams.com and the BBB I just bought the same information for only $24.97 at http://www.Professor-Profits.com I just bought it last night and it has everything that John Beck talks about.
