Upcoming Foreclosures

Why are Republican party supporters in denial over the fact that the GOP is now a socialistic party?

With the nationalizing of the banking system, GWB has brought the USA to socialism. McCain plans to follow the path laid out and one-up GWB by bailing out home owners facing foreclosure as well. Obama wants a goverment healthcare system. Either way you vote this year, you are going to get socialism. So why are we to fear only the Democrat's socialism when the Republican candidate will have the government owning houses all over the country?

  1. Once again... someone who doesn't understand the term "socialist"... Socialism - You get something back for your money like Healthcare, safe roads, schooling for your children etc... Communism - Bush/McCain's Bail-out. Edit: To Jeff Smoker - The Democrats were the only one's pushing for reform and asking for oversight and to eliminate the "golden parachutes" which are really why McCain/Bush were so interested in supporting it... These banks promised to support McCain's campaign in return for the bail-out and everyone knows it...
  2. FYI: Democrats in Congress were overwhelmingly in favor of the bail-out while the GOP had almost the only representatives voting against it. Just goes to show you that Bush can cross party lines and isn't the devil the left makes him out to be. Green Pagan: Why did Maxine Waters(D) oppose Republicans efforts to regulate Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae a few years ago? Check this out in living color: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hN31-nKndg8
  3. Obama is the socialist here. the gov't. owns property everywhere. That doesn't make it socialist. "Spreading the Wealth" does. If you like it so much, why don't you give your money to the poor and let those who want to keep their money do just that?
  4. we are not. McCain does not have the support of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and the Communist Party USA . http://cpusaelections.blogspot.com/2008/07/reflections-on-obamas-tour.html http://www.dsausa.org/dl/Summer_2008.pdf
  5. First off, I am and was against this bailout from the beginning. I am against helping home owners, businesses and banks. I am therefore voting for Bob Barr Libertarian. I do not have to pick between the two major parties. Maybe if more people did this, the two major parties would try to clean up their game!
  6. What is "socialist?" We've been socialist for a long time if you consider any element of socialism we happen to have as the defining characteristic of our government. Think: Income taxes, public schools, welfare, social security, etc. Every 1st world government has elements of socialism and capitalism. To say a country is one or the other is to say a rainbow is either black or white.
  7. dems..reps..they are opposite sides of the same counter fit coin !
  8. huh? I think you got it completely a$$ backwards!! good try, tho. obama is a crook. why won't he show anyone a birth certificate?? ohh, yeah, HE DOESN'T HAVE ONE!
  9. I disagree with you, but the bottom line is that every four years we basically get 2 choices (more, if we don't care if our vote is counted). It is US politics and we get to choose the one we think will hurt us the least (unless we're really gung ho for one of them). The thing with this election is that Pres. Bush isn't running and you really need to get that. McCain isn't Bush. The other thing is that regardless of all the fancy talk, we really don't know what Obama will do. I think we can better predict McCain. We are still at war, so you must consider that. We are in an economic scare, so you must consider that. Oh, and the biggie is this Congress (Pelosi and Reid, anyone?). Is socialism our biggest enemy currently? I do not even know. But some vague notion of change doesn't help me sleep at night.
  10. When will all the US citizens realize that both parties today are puppets to extra - national interests beginning with the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission? When will the US churches wake up and realize that the only hope for a better America is repentance and revival from the churches to the world? Both parties support illegal immigration. Both parties support the events leading to the present financial crisis. Though the Democrats did most of the dirty work by creating the red lining stigma and forcing banks to do their bidding. Both parties and leaders have given homage and deference to the Pope. The two party system is failing. We the people need easier ballot access for challengers. We the people need to study and know what the Declaration of Independence and Constitution really say. We the people need to know the truth about the Founding Fathers. We the people need to know the real history of how the US was started, not the PC version with all the religion and faith knocked out.
