Why does the government want to spend $700B to bailout bad businesses and banks?

Here is a thought. We call it the Mukai bailout plan and is a plan that should be considered. You give $1M to every taxpayer who filed taxes which was 138 Million people and save the taxpayers money. Call it a TAX FREE stimulus check and I guarantee the foreclosures will go down and the economy will be stimulated. We could save a great deal of money. Has anyone had this thought?

4. the bailout has nothing to do with bad businesses, it has to do with lending institutions not having enough capital to loan money because all of their assets are tied up in bad debt

13. Nancy I have heard this plan from a few people and all I can say is why not. If the tax dollars are going to be spent to bail out the financial markets I think it would be a fine idea to pay less money to more people to accomplish the task. They should mandate that the 1 million to each tax payer had to be spent to pay off all debt before it could be spent to buy new toys. If everyone that had a mortgage payed them up wall street would be in the black again.
14. Our value of money is going down after this "Bailout". There just going to print more money causing our value to go down. it's ridiculous and will only make everything worse 5 to 10 years from now. We need a budget plan not a plan that works "for now". I think the mukai plan could work for a while but our country needs a humongous budget plan. You can thank our president Bush for sending our troops to Iraq wasting our money and putting us in debt. There not there for issues, they are there for oil. OIL OIL OIL, we need to put our 10 year old hybrid ideas into use already and stop relying on gas. Thank the gas companies for that as well and the bush family who proudly owns one. Funny eh? Greed is going to be the end of our country. GREED. Thank you greedy gas companies for destroying much of our earth when we could have been using hybrids 10 years ago. Thank you America for hating imports like Honda that save gas and are built properly. thank you america for your Chevys that waste gas and pollute our air, thanks trucks and Ford. Thank you all.
15. Great Idea. The only reason it won't work is Dems control the banking committees in congress and the senate. Dems are imbedded in the banking industry. (fox guarding the hen house). So bail out wall st (congressional dems bailing out banking dems buddies) and let the taxpayer pay to break the taxpayer so congress (big brother governmet) can control more of your life. Tlhis could have been advoided in2002 when A. Greespan told the banking committees their is touble in River City. The dems to a man (and woman) said NO,NO,NO,NO,NO. and continued on. TV bytes are all over FNC. C. Dodds, Barney Frank, Chumkie Schummer and a host of other dems are at the root of the problem. Do the research. WAKE UP. Google; cloward-piven strategy. Very scary.
16. Because Bankers and Corporate America own, manipulate and control the US government from the broom closet to the white house! I do like your idea though but it won't work because of what I said above! Greedy corporate sharks will not like it!
