Maine foreclosure laws - When tenants have to leave?

I have relatives who have had their house foreclosed. The public auction is 9/14/06. When do they have to vacate the property?

1. by that time 9/14/06. technically whoever buys the house can move in that day. won't happen obviously but it is possible. if that;s the sell date then they have to get out by that time
