im looking to buy a house in flushing, new york at foreclosures or bank owned. how do i get a list? ?

I was told to a courthouse. where is it? is there a site. thanks

1. normally, with mortgage foreclosures, the lender will give an order to the sheriff to hold an auction on the sheriff's steps. with the current fiasco, that may not happen. Lenders may choose to give borrowers longer. Regardless, visit the sheriff's office. YOU asked, WHERE is the court house? The court house is the administrative center for each county. OPEN your phone company's white pages and look at the address of the county court house. [not everything is available via the net--use the phone book!]
2. Mortgage holders have been listing those homes with local realtors. Call a few in the Flushing, Queens area and ask for a list.
3. Any real estate professional can help you. The courthouse has a list too, but it includes property that is not ready to be sold. An agent can help you with property that has the title cleared and if ready to go.
