  1. Banks that take homes usually have decent ones for cheap. Look up stuff on the net.
  2. There are state programs to help lower income families buy houses which include down payment assistance "grants" and credit counseling to get you to a place where you can be qualified for a loan. If you tell me which state you are in, I will be happy to point you in the right direction to find the government agency with the applicable program.
  3. Well, to get a home from a forclosure sale at a good price, you basically have to talk the people going into forclosure (yeah, like they want you to knock on the door and ask to buy it) I don't know much about the home auctions, or hud homes, but I do know that homes aren't that much cheaper from the banks after the forclosure. Your best bet is to get a realtor, ask specifically about homes listed for SHORT SALE, this means the people are aabout to go into forclosure, but the bank has agreed to let them try to sell the house first, so they are desperate. Your other option is checking the listing for homes that have been on the market for more than a few months. When the property is listed a long time, sellers will become more plyable. Good luck!
  4. I found a VERY (V_E_R_Y) good article about foreclosure here:http://buy-a-foreclosure.blogspot.com/Good luck!
