  1. Like anyother state you could end up losing your house unless CA allows you to declare bankruptcy and keep it. (Some states do allow this)
  2. First off when did you get the notice can you still redeam the property?, meaning how many payments are you behind or has it alreadly gone into forclosure .You can check on the status of the property through your lemder ,or the local newspapper .If it is listed in the papper that means that an auction on your property can take place at the specified time listed either on the notice you were given or the newspapper.iIf it has gone this far you would have to pay the note amount,before the acution or hope that no one bids on the property.then maybe you could make some kind of offer to the lender .Either way you are in a tough spot .
